Soft Play at The Venue Borehamwood

venue-ballAs soon as we turned into the car park a voice from the back seat babbled ‘Soft Play , Soft Play’  This is one of Abbie’s favourite places and she could not wait to get in.

After paying (don’t forget to get a parking refund) we had a choice of 2 soft play areas.  The original underwater themed area is large so we decided to go to the newer soft play area while Abbie’s mummy went for a swim in the main pool.  I chatted to another grandmother looking after her grandchild while mummy was in a fitness class.

There is seating with plenty of room for buggies just beside the play area.  On the wall is a cloth shoe tidy, but we just put our shoes by our chair.  Don’t forget to bring socks.

The new play area has a large ball pond on one side and on the other side a soft play frame with slides, cargo nets and other sections to explore.

Between the ball pond and frame is an octopus rocker, lots of soft shapes to stack and an interactive mirror and a game board.

The centre’s crèche do use the soft play area so it can get busy.

I made a fundamental error and forgot to bring a snack.  It was no problem as immediately outside the soft play area is the large and airy Side Kicks café so I was able to buy a banana and get a coffee. The menu has a kids menu and also baguettes, salads etc.  The cafe also has free wifi.
