Paddling at Cassiobury Park , Watford

cass park pad pool 2 When I said that I had just been to Cassiobury Park my daughter complained and asked why I hadn’t taken Abbie (age 1 and 355 days) with me.  Well
(a) I was looking for a nice place to eat my sandwich and
(b) I did not realise what a glorious day it was.

However the next time we have a couple of hours free on a lovely day we will make for the large paddling pool complex and nearby playground.  She is just the right age to really enjoy it

The park is very large has 3 main sections.  There is a conventional park area, with tennis courts, a bowling green, croquet lawns, basketball court, a children’s playground and best of all   Cha Cha Cha café  with it’s children’s menu and venue for children’s activities.

There is a small car park nearby with limited parking.

The centre of the park has a free car park and a large open area, great for kite flying and  playing ball games.  From this car park you walk across to a playground and large paddling pool complex.   cass park pad pool

The day I visited there was a small kiosk selling food, an ice cream van and picnic tables.

The third section of the park is a large nature reserve.  I did not have enough time to visit it but I will be back. cass park wildlife
