Eating out with the grandchildren in Central London

high chairTaking our grandchildren out for the day certainly involves more planning than we would usually consider, especially when it comes to mealtimes.  Here are our top tips for where to eat in Central London with little ones:

* Family friendly chain restaurants.  Sometimes you just want somewhere with an easy, familiar menu, quick service and plenty of highchairs.  These all fit the bill: Pizza Express, Wagamama, Giraffe.

* Tibits.  Vegetarian restaurant near Piccadilly Circus with a downstairs play area (12-14 Heddon Street, off Regent Street, W1B 4DA)

* Packed lunch!  If it’s a sunny day, there are plenty of parks and gardens to enjoy in town.  And if it’s raining?  The main museums will often have an area where you can sit and eat your own packed lunch.

We are always on the lookout for other family friendly places to take the children to eat – tell us where you take the kids
